Without a doubt, and in all languages I'm learning:
    The sound of silence.

I find that rolling my "R"s in Spanish is very, very difficult and I'm not sure if it is something that is teachable.

In this sense, I pronounce "pero" ("but" in English) and "perro" (dog in English) in exactly the same way.

The English skillset does not seem to accommodate this sound!

Yep, our R is not for everybody... All English and French people seem to find it really difficult!
Even in Spain, I must say, a lot of children have problems to roll it properly, so we "learn" early in school. Or we learned in my times...

R in Mandarin Chinese is a real challenge too. Imagine something half-way between zh (that sounds like s in collision) and English r.

Then there's q in Chinese too, and the main problem with this sound is that everyone seems to say it differently.

Hehehe, it seems like TV's white noise to me...

No, seriously, Khoisan phonetics are difficult... The rest is just practice...
