    Easy As Pie

A tasty idiom for all you English learners!

If something is easy as pie then it is extremely easy to complete.

Ironically, we have another phrase for something that is easy, as you may know. That one is “a piece of cake”. It can be a good idea to go between using these two expressions.

    Here are some examples:

I aced the test, it was easy as pie.

You can definitely convince him, watch, it’s easy as pie.

Don’t worry, you’ll be fine! It’s going to be easy as pie.

Remember this one to sound native and relaxed around friends. Sometimes you could even use it in professional situations. Just be sure to judge the situation and make sure you’re using it in the appropriate context.

Oh I've heard both short and long terms in speech, several times.

I have come across both versions, but only in writing.

"Easy peasy" sounds childish but does get used by adults, occasionally. Even more rarely in its full version - "Easy peasy lemon squeezy". Honestly!

Interesting, since I only knew the expression "piece of cake": and does "easy peasy" means more or less the same thing? is this maybe a little "childish"?
